Dr. Ramani Narasimhan

Dr. Ramani Narasimhan is a highly skilled Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon with over 38 years of experience in Orthopaedic Surgery since 1986, and the first dedicated Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon in Northern India since 1998. Based in New Delhi, he is a focused Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon managing orthopaedic problems in neonates, infants, children, adolescents, and young adults up to 18-20 years of age.

He has a special interest in managing disorders of the paediatric hip and spine, including Developmental Dysplasia/Dislocation of the Hip (DDH), Perthes' disease, hip infections and trauma, scoliosis, kyphosis, and spondylolisthesis. He also treats foot deformities (clubfoot, flatfeet, toe walking), knee and upper limb deformities, fractures, bone and joint infections, bone tumours, and multi-disciplinary conditions such as cerebral palsy, arthrogryposis, and osteogenesis imperfecta.

He completed a Clinical Fellowship in Paediatric Orthopaedics at Connecticut Children's Medical Center, Hartford, USA, under Program Director John V. Banta MD, and holds an extensive career spanning Central Institute of Orthopaedics (Safdarjung Hospital), King George's Medical College Lucknow, and Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, New Delhi, where he has served as Senior Consultant since November 2002.

Dr. Narasimhan is Past President of the Paediatric Orthopaedic Society of India (POSI) (2017-2020) and Vice President of the Paediatric Orthopaedic Foundation (POF). He is a highly prolific speaker and faculty member at national and international paediatric orthopaedic conferences, having presided over multiple editions of POSICON, and has authored numerous scientific papers and publications throughout his career.
