Dr. Nikhil Kumar

Dr. Nikhil Kumar is a Senior Director of Cardiology at Fortis Memorial Research Institute (FMRI), Gurugram. He is an experienced cardiologist with expertise spanning interventional, non-invasive, preventive and clinical cardiology.

Dr. Kumar specialises in complex coronary angioplasty, including rotational atherectomy (rotablation), valvuloplasty, device closure of shunt lesions, pacemaker and AICD implantation, and cardiac resynchronisation therapy. His expertise also includes renal, peripheral and carotid angioplasty and stenting.

With extensive clinical, academic and administrative experience, Dr. Kumar has served as Professor and Head of the Cardiology Department at Army Hospital Research and Referral, New Delhi, and as Director of Cardiology at leading hospitals. He has contributed to advanced cardiac care through his work in complex interventional and preventive cardiology.

Dr. Kumar has received recognition for his meritorious service, including the General Officer Commanding in Chief's Commendation and the Chief of Army Staff's Commendation. He continues to provide comprehensive cardiac care at Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurugram.
