Dr Rajesh Verma

Dr Rajesh Verma is Chairman of Orthopaedics, Joint Replacement and Spine Surgery at Shalby Sanar Hospital, Golf Course Road, Gurgaon, with 28 years of clinical experience. He has been part of more than 28,000 surgical cases and has personally performed over 14,000 surgeries spanning all types of spine surgery, joint replacements, pediatric orthopaedics and complex trauma.

He completed his MBBS at Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, and his MS in Orthopaedics at Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak. He holds FRSH (UK) and FIAO (USA) fellowships, and completed advanced training at institutions including Denver Health Medical Centre and Rocky Mountain Regional Trauma Centre, Colorado, USA; the University Clinic of Schleswig-Holstein and Neurosurgery Centre in Germany; National University Hospital, Singapore; Severance Spine Hospital, Seoul, South Korea; and Prince Charles and North Point Hospital, Brisbane, Australia.

He holds the distinction of performing the highest number of percutaneous spine surgeries in the region, including kyphoplasty, disc excisions using the Joimax TESSYS system, nucleoplasty, SpineJet hydrodiscectomy and radiofrequency-based pain management. He currently performs 40 to 50 spine surgical procedures every month.

He is a member of the International Society for the Advancement of Spine Surgery, a Fellow of AO Spine Asia Pacific, and a member of AO Spine International, the AO Trauma & Arthroscopy Society of India, and the Association of Spine Surgeons of India.
