He completed his MBBS at Devi Ahilya Vishwa Vidyalaya, Indore, in 1995, followed by an MS in General Surgery from the same institution in 2000. He also holds MRCS from Edinburgh, along with fellowships including FMAS (Minimal Access Surgery), FIAGES (Indian Association of Gastrointestinal Endo Surgeons), FALS (Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery) and FAIS.
