Dr Surender Kumar Dabas is a leading robotic cancer surgeon in India with over 22 years of experience in advancing cancer care through precision surgery and surgical innovation. His expertise spans head and neck, thoracic, gastrointestinal, gynaecological, urological and sarcoma cancers.

He pioneered Transoral Robotic Surgery (TORS) in India and has performed the highest number of robotic head and neck cancer surgeries in Asia using the Da Vinci Xi robotic system. He has completed more than 30,000 complex cancer surgeries, including over 5,000 robotic procedures and 1,000+ TORS cases.

Dr Dabas currently serves as Vice Chairman of Oncology and Chief of Robotic Surgery at BLK-Max Cancer Centre, and consults at Manipal Hospital, Dwarka, and Manipal Jivisha Cancer Centre, Sonipat. He has previously held senior roles including Director of Head & Neck and Thoracic Services at Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurgaon, Chief of Head & Neck Oncology and Robotic Surgery at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute, and Director of Head & Neck, Breast & Thoracic Services at Fortis Shalimar Bagh.

He completed his MBBS at Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi, his MS at Lady Hardinge Medical College and Associated Hospital, Delhi, and his DNB in Surgical Oncology from the National Board of Examination, New Delhi. Dr Dabas is an internationally recognised faculty member and surgical trainer, having proctored robotic surgeons at leading cancer institutions across India, including AIIMS Jodhpur, AIIMS Rishikesh, Apollo Indraprastha Delhi, Apollo Proton Chennai, and several others.
