Dr. Kamran Ali

Dr. Kamran Ali is Associate Director – Thoracic Surgery at Max Healthcare, Saket, specialising in lung transplant and thoracic surgery, with over 13 years of experience. He was part of the surgical team that performed Europe's first and the world's second lung transplant for COVID-19 ARDS.

He completed his MBBS from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, AMU, Aligarh, and his DNB (Surgery) from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and has trained extensively abroad, including an ASCVTS Fellowship in Thoracic Surgery at Seoul National University, South Korea, and a Fellowship in Lung Transplant at the Medical University of Vienna, Austria. He has also held travelling fellowships at the National Cancer Centre (Japan), Tokyo University (Japan), and National Taiwan University Hospital.

Before joining Max Healthcare, Dr. Ali held senior consultant roles at Marengo Asia Hospitals (Faridabad & Gurgaon NCR), Yashoda Hospitals (Secunderabad), Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, and Fortis Hospital, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, and completed his thoracic surgery training at Medanta – The Medicity, Gurgaon.
