Dr Naval Mendiratta

Dr. Naval Mendiratta is a Senior Consultant in Rheumatology at Fortis Memorial Research Institute (FMRI), Gurugram, and is recognized for his expertise in diagnosing and managing complex rheumatic and autoimmune conditions, including vasculitis, systemic lupus erythematosus, and spondyloarthropathy.

He completed his MBBS from Sri Ramachandra Medical College, Chennai, in 2006/2007, followed by his MD in General Medicine from Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune, where he secured the first rank in his batch and received a Gold Medal. He went on to complete a Clinical Fellowship in Rheumatology and Immunology at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore, and also holds a EULAR (European League Against Rheumatism) Fellowship.

Dr. Mendiratta began his career as a Senior Resident at Fortis Hospital, Vasant Kunj, before joining Medanta – The Medicity, Gurgaon, where he progressed from Senior Resident to Consultant in Clinical Immunology and Rheumatology over five years. He now serves as Senior Consultant Rheumatologist at FMRI, Gurugram.

He is a member of the Indian Rheumatology Association, the American College of Rheumatology, and the British Society of Rheumatology. He has authored multiple research publications in journals including the Indian Journal of Rheumatology and Annals of the Rheumatic Diseases, and serves as a co-investigator in clinical drug trials for biosimilars, JAK inhibitors, and ANCA-associated vasculitis. He also supervises DNB Rheumatology theses and has co-authored a book on myocardial infarction.
