Dr Sumeet Agrawal

Dr. Sumeet Agrawal is the Chief of Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology at Artemis Hospital, Gurugram, and is one of the few specialists in the Delhi-NCR region to hold a DM in Clinical Immunology. He is recognized as a leading expert in the treatment of complex autoimmune and rheumatologic conditions.

He completed his MBBS from CSJM University, Kanpur, in 1998, followed by his MD in Medicine (Gold Medalist) from Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur, in 2002, and his DM in Clinical Immunology from Sanjay Gandhi Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGI), Lucknow, in 2006. He further advanced his training through the APLAR (Asia-Pacific League of Associations for Rheumatology) Fellowship in the UK.

Prior to joining Artemis Hospital, Dr. Agrawal served as a Consultant at Medanta – The Medicity from 2011 to 2014, and as an Assistant Professor at Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad, from 2007 to 2011. He has pioneered several rheumatological procedures in India, including intra-articular injections, soft-tissue injections, skin biopsy, muscle and nerve biopsy, and minor salivary gland biopsy.

Dr. Agrawal specializes in treating lupus, scleroderma, vasculitis, arthritis, retroperitoneal fibrosis, gout, sarcoidosis, and angioedema. He received a grant from the International Osteoporosis Federation (IOF) for the Worldwide Conference of Osteoporosis Patient Societies in Beijing, China, in 2009, and is a member of the Indian Rheumatology Association.
