About Dr Aditya Gupta
Dr Aditya Gupta is one of India's leading neurosurgeons and a globally recognized expert in brain tumour surgery, stereotactic radiosurgery and advanced functional neurosurgery. As Chairperson of Neurosurgery & CNS Radiosurgery and Co-Chief of the CyberKnife Centre at Artemis Hospitals, he brings over three decades of experience in treating complex neurological disorders using advanced surgical technologies.
An alumnus of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, Dr Gupta served as Associate Professor of Neurosurgery at AIIMS before co-founding the Institute of Neurosciences at Medanta. He later joined Artemis Hospitals to establish one of India's most advanced neurosurgical and CyberKnife programs.
He has performed more than 10,000 brain tumour surgeries and over 6,000 radiosurgery procedures, making him one of the country's most experienced specialists in Gamma Knife, CyberKnife and LINAC-based radiosurgery. His expertise spans minimally invasive brain and spine surgery, functional neurosurgery, skull base surgery, cerebrovascular surgery and advanced image-guided microsurgery. He is also a referral specialist for international patients from Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia and South Asia.
Dr Gupta trained at institutions including the University of Amsterdam, Hôpital Pitié-Salpêtrière in Paris, the University of Marseilles, Wake Forest University and the University of Kiel, and served as Research Professor at CJW Medical Center, Richmond, Virginia. He has authored more than 50 scientific publications and is a regular faculty member and invited speaker at national and international neurosurgical conferences.
