About Dr. Satya Prakash Yadav
Dr. Satya Prakash Yadav is Director of Pediatric Hematology, Oncology & Bone Marrow Transplant at Medanta Cancer Institute, Gurugram. With over 31 years of experience, his clinical focus is primarily paediatric leukemia and bone marrow transplantation, and he has a goal of making BMT and cell therapy affordable and accessible to every child who needs it.
After completing his paediatric training in Delhi, Dr. Yadav worked as a fellow in Paediatric Hemato-Oncology at The Children's Hospital at Westmead, Sydney, Australia, from 2002 to 2005. On returning to India, he set up successful paediatric BMT programs at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Fortis Gurugram, and Medanta Hospital. He and his colleagues have been involved in performing over 1,000 blood and marrow transplants and cell therapies, including unrelated donor transplants, cord blood transplants, and haplo-identical bone marrow transplants.
Dr. Yadav is a pioneer in advanced cellular therapies in India, including CAR-T cell therapy, virus-specific T-cell therapy, and donor lymphocyte infusions. He has published extensively in national and international journals, with over 500 citations, and has trained more than 30 fellows in Paediatric Hematology-Oncology who now practise as consultants across India.
He serves as National Co-coordinator of the National Training Program in Practical Paediatric Haematology (NTPPPH) and is President of the Paediatric Hematology Oncology (PHO) Chapter of the Indian Academy of Paediatrics (2025–2027).
