He completed his MBBS from Christian Medical College and Hospital, Ludhiana, followed by his DNB and Minimal Access Surgery Fellowship at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi. He further pursued specialized training, including basic bariatric training at the Covidien Clinical Institute, Shanghai, advanced bariatric training at the Bariatric & Metabolic Institute, Cleveland Clinic Foundation, USA, and robotic surgery training on the Da Vinci system at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences.

Dr. Peters specializes in Laparoscopic and Robotic Bariatric Surgery for severe obesity, Metabolic Surgery for diabetes, and GI Surgery, performing over 300 procedures annually. He holds the world record — recognized in the LIMCA Book of World Records — for the highest number of bariatric surgeries performed in a single day.
