About Dr. Manju Aggarwal
Dr. Manju Aggarwal is Chief of Medical Services and Chairperson of Nephrology at Artemis Hospital, Gurugram, and has served as Director and Head of the Department of Nephrology and Kidney Transplantation there since 2012. With 39 years of overall experience, including 28 years as a specialist, she is one of India's leading nephrologists.
She completed her MBBS from Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi, in 1976, followed by her MD in Internal Medicine from Maulana Azad Medical College, University of Delhi, and her DNB in Nephrology (General Medicine) from G.B. Pant Hospital / Maulana Azad Medical College in 1980. She went on to complete a fellowship in Nephrology at the University of Minnesota Hospitals and Clinics, Minneapolis, USA, in 1992, and later earned an MBA in Healthcare Administration from the Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi University, in 2008.
Dr. Aggarwal has expertise in treating critically ill patients with acute and chronic renal failure, dialysis (including home dialysis), and renal transplantation. She is particularly experienced in managing difficult and high-risk renal transplants, including highly sensitised and incompatible transplantations requiring desensitisation. She is a member of the American Society of Nephrology and the International Society of Nephrology.
Before joining Artemis, she held senior nephrology leadership roles at Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals (1996–2012), Sant Parmanand Hospital (2001–2006, as Senior Consultant and Head), Escorts Heart Institute (1993–1996), and Moolchand Hospital (1993–1996).
