Dr. Anshuman Agarwal

Dr. Anshuman Agarwal is Senior Consultant in Urology and Robotic Surgery at Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, Sarita Vihar, New Delhi, a state-of-the-art urology facility equipped with the Da Vinci Robotic System, Holmium laser, and a full range of flexible and rigid endoscopes. With over 28 years of experience, he is fluent in English, Hindi, and Tamil.

He is among India's most experienced surgeons in Holmium Laser Enucleation of Prostate (HoLEP), having performed approximately 3,000 procedures on prostate sizes ranging from 40 to 330 grams since 2001, and has trained urologists from India and abroad in the technique, including live surgical demonstrations in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Seoul, South Korea. He has also performed more than 5,000 percutaneous nephrolithotomies (PCNL), over 2,500 flexible ureteroscopy procedures, more than 1,500 TURP procedures, and over 250 robotic surgeries for prostate, kidney, and bladder cancer.

He completed his MBBS and MS (General Surgery) from King George's Medical College, Lucknow, and his MCh in Urology from JIPMER, Pondicherry. He has served as an Observer in the Department of Urology at Cleveland Clinic, USA, and previously worked at the Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Centre, Delhi, in genitourinary oncology, and as Senior Consultant Urologist at Fortis Hospital, Vasant Kunj, and RG Stone Urology and Laparoscopy Hospital, East of Kailash. He has presented research at international urology conferences across the USA, France, South Africa, Mexico, and Malaysia, and has publications in Urology International, the Journal of Endourology, and the Indian Journal of Urology.
