About Dr. Rajiv Yadav

Dr. Rajiv Yadav is Chairperson of Urology and Head of Urologic Oncology and Robotic Surgery (Unit I) at Artemis Hospitals, Gurugram, with over two decades of experience in treating urological diseases of the prostate, kidney and urinary bladder. His clinical focus is on robot-assisted laparoscopic surgery for prostate cancer, kidney cancer and bladder cancer, and he leads a team that has performed thousands of complex urological procedures with outcomes matching leading centres worldwide.

He completed his MBBS from Rajasthan University, Jaipur, followed by his MS (General Surgery) and MCh (Urology) from AIIMS, New Delhi. He went on to complete fellowships in Urologic Oncology and Robotic Surgery, and in Endourology and Laparoscopy, at Weill Cornell Medical Center and New York-Presbyterian Hospital, USA, in addition to a fellowship in Endourology and Laparoscopy at AIIMS.

Dr. Yadav has received numerous international awards, including the Best Clinical Research Award from the American Urological Association for two consecutive years (2008 and 2009) for his research in multiphoton microscopy for prostate cancer surgery, along with best scientific abstract and video awards from the American Urological Association, the International College of Surgeons, and the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons. He served as co-investigator on a National Institutes of Health R01 research grant, and has authored more than 100 scientific and invited articles on minimally invasive urology and urologic oncology, along with several book chapters.
